Overview
We are Regency Village at Prineville, centrally located in Prineville, OR. We are a retirement / assisted living community providing each individual compassionate care in a nurturing environment. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team.
ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for all housekeeping operations including hiring, training, and supervising housekeeping staff.
- Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
- Supervise the day-to-day housekeeping functions of assigned personnel.
- Must have high standards of cleanliness, have the ability to work within budgetary guidelines, and be able to develop staff to do the job.
- Assign personnel to specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Coordinate daily housekeeping services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Ensure that personnel is performing assigned tasks in accordance with established housekeeping procedures.
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner. Ensure that housekeeping personnel follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
- Ensure that established Infection Control practices are maintained when performing housekeeping procedures. Perform housekeeping tasks, as required by facility, policies and procedures, and standard of excellence.
- Must be capable of operating and maintaining all housekeeping/laundry equipment (i.e., pressing machines, commercial washer/dryer, buffing machines, etc.).
- Knowledge of applicable state regulations. Experience with cost management and budgeting. Demonstrate knowledge of Infection Control, Hazardous Waste, Disaster Plan, etc.
- Ability to relate positively and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
- Has compassion and special interest in working with the senior population. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and over time, to meet the requirements of the position.
- Available for on-call for emergencies. Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations. Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Meets all mandatory health requirements by State regulations
- Education or experience sufficient to meet position requirements or as required by State regulations
