PositionSummary
Animal Care Center is looking to hire a Client Service Receptionist to join our front office team. This is a full‑time position. Responsibilities- Greet clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm appointments and surgeries.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in‑person inquiries.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and appointments.
- Process prescription and food requests in a timely and correct manner.
- Accurately schedule appointments, surgeries, and boarding reservations.
- Complete daily department checklist to a high standard.
- Receive and respond to incoming communications such as emails and AllyDVM.
- Confirm patients have all necessary communication and medication before the doctor has prepared it.
- Perform end‑of‑day closing procedures in Cornerstone—hands‑on training will be provided.
- Stay up to date on patient history.
- Able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.
- Intermediate knowledge of grammar and spelling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows Outlook.
- Willingness to adhere to work schedules.
- Other duties assigned.
- Scrub Allowance: Eligible on 1st day.
- Paid Holidays: 6 paid holidays (eligible on 1st day).
- Paid Time Off: 40 hours first year (accrued).
- Health Insurance: medical, dental, vision—single and family, 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.
- Supplemental Insurance: e.g., life insurance, critical illness, etc., 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.
- 401(k): 1st of the month following hire date (21 or older), match after 1 year if minimum hours worked are met/maintained.
- Other Benefits: Continuing Education, Training Opportunities, RVT/LVT Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Referral Bonus Program, Wellness Resources, Employee Pet Discount.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Veterinary experience preferred, but not required.
- Customer Service—knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
