Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2 years of experience, BLS, and venipuncture skills for a busy acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Work in a busy acute care imaging department with two Siemens Edge 128-slice CT units, including one mobile unit
- Primary assignment in CT with requirement to cover X-ray during night shifts when rotating on 3rd shift
- Average of 50-60 CT scans performed per day including CT brain, chest angio, abdomen/pelvis, spine, stroke protocols, trauma, extremities, and interventional studies
- Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekdays (typically 8 hours), evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
- Potential call or standby requirement with a 30-minute response time as back-up
- EMR is Meditech Expanse, PACS is GE Centricity, and Epic is also used
- No floating outside the CT department
- Responsibilities include performing a full range of CT exams and assisting with interventional procedures
- Expect to cover X-ray during 3rd shift rotation in addition to regular CT duties
- Department provides 3 days of orientation, with the first day in HR
- Team supported by 7 radiologists (on-site and remote), with Nighthawk service after hours and on weekends
- Scrubs of any color allowed; green scrubs provided when working with COVID patients
- Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
- A 100-mile radius rule applies for candidates
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- Current BLS certification required
- Venipuncture and IV start skills required
- Prefer CT board certified (ARRT CT) technologists
- Active West Virginia license required if applicable
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Experience using Siemens CT scanners preferred
