West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurosurgery in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a neurosurgeon (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for Princeton Community Hospital. The practice will focus on all aspects of spinal neurosurgery but include general neurosurgery as part of a busy neurosurgical group belonging to the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute.
The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Princeton, WV.

AboutPrinceton Community Hospital
Princeton Community Hospital (PCH) is a non-profit, 203-bed acute care multispecialty medical facility serving a 10-county region in southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia. PCH operates 17 ambulatory clinics offering a wide range of medical specialties. It provides advanced medical technologies and procedures, from state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to minimally invasive surgery. PCH is located in the heart of Mercer County, West Virginia.
DutiesThe Neurosurgery practice at Princeton Hospital will be focused on delivering high quality spine care to the residents in Southeastern West Virginia. The WVU Department of Neurosurgery currently staffs Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, which will be the nearest Neurosurgery practice in the state. The Princeton practice will work closely with its partners in Charleston. The WVU Department of Neurosurgery performed >5,500 procedures last year around the health system.
The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) is a comprehensive multidisciplinary patient care, education, and research institute providing neurological and mental healthcare through more than 300,000 visits annually. The RNI team uses the latest technologies with academic, government, and industry partners to address public health challenges including addiction and Alzheimer’s disease.
The successful candidate will practice in the area of neurosurgery on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Qualifications- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible for state medical licensure.
- Completed a neurosurgery residency program.
- Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
