Who We Are Looking For

This is a hands‑on Lead Developer position in State Street Market’s Secured Finance division. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward‑thinking organization that’s always pushing boundaries. The ideal candidate has experience developing applications using Java/J2EE, APIs, databases, AWS, Databricks and multiple back‑end languages.

As Lead Developer you will

• Design & develop SSGM‑Secured Financing applications using AWS and Databricks
• Drive change through collaboration, influence and demonstration of POCs
• Be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, integration testing, deployment, and documentation
• Work collaboratively within an agile project team
• Follow best practices and coding standards
• Grow your personal skillset

• Experienced, highly skilled in the following cloud technologies as a design lead and developer level: AWS, Databricks, Core Java, Tomcat or another J2EE application server, Oracle/Exadata, Git Hub, MQ, Kafka, PL/SQL, Perl, scripting languages and other open‑source technologies
• Expertise on Spring framework, Core Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, etc.
• Experience using Scrum, Agile modeling and adaptive software development is preferred
• Continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment experience
• Experience with rule engine and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) are desirable

• Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 15+ years of progressive experience
• 5+ years of experience in writing complex SQL queries
• 5+ years of experience in UNIX and Shell scripting
• 10+ years of Java/Python programming experience
• Experience performing data analysis and data exploration
  
  Experience working in an agile delivery environment

$165,000 – $247,500 Annual
