From engaging events to mentoring opportunities and valuable resume-building experiences, we’re committed to preparing you for a fulfilling and enduring career, both at dsm-firmenich and beyond. We are currently looking for an Applications Intern – Sweet Goods, Dairy at our Plainsboro NJ office.
The 2025 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will begin June 1st, 2026 and run through August 14, 2026.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Food Technologists in creating a wide range of finished food applications.
- Support execution of experiments to evaluate flavor performance.
- Participate in the tasting and evaluation of flavors in application.
- Write reports to capture individual experiments.
- Help with preparation of samples for our customers.

- Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Culinary program.
- Lab and/or culinary experience working safely with food products, ingredients, and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of computer programs, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, etc.
- Flexible working style: collaborative in a group setting, and also independent to organize projects, timelines, and personal accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.
