The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and curious Principal Scientist to join our team. What Youll Do

We are seeking a Principal Scientist, you will be working closely with other members of the team managingbothclientand R&D projects, ensuring these are performed to a high standard and within scheduledtime-frames. In addition, as a visible leader in the group,utilizingexcellent communication, organizational and technical skills, you will support the training and development of staff, improving the team’s knowledge and processes.

You will work with the VP to create and cascade theshort and medium termvision and strategy for the team.

  • Be a senior point of contact within the group for operational and scientific support across all Tox assays (troubleshooting, dataanalysisand interpretation).

  • Identify opportunities for and lead cross functional collaboration.

  • Design and perform novel Tox assays

  • Conduct in vitro Tox assays manually or using automated liquid handling system for completion in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple projects to meet the timelines

  • Activelyparticipatein scientific discussion to resolve arising issues as well as criticallyanalyzeand interpret the data to design next steps.

  • Work closely with project managers and senior management to complete the assigned work in theanticipatedtime frame.

  • Provide expert scientific support for the wider company for Tox studies.

  • Keep up to date with scientific literature advances, developments, and regulatory guidelines in the area ofTox and inform the team of relevant developments.

  • Provide practical scientific guidance to others, collaborating across functions to meet project goals, and regularly presenting findings.

  • Promote cross functional collaboration with other Principal Scientists and to provideopportunity for team members to contribute to these collaborations.

  • Provide expert scientific support for the wider company for drug metabolism studies.

  • Coach, mentor and line manage other members of the teamby effective use of Evotalksmeetings, regular 1to1 discussions and ad hoc interactions.

  • Assist team members in generating development plans and to review and provide support to team members in executing these plans.

  • Assistthe VP in generating succession plans for the team.
