Postdoctoral Research Associate in Moral Philosophy
The Princeton University Center for Human Values invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Moral Philosophy. The postdoc will conduct research, teach a senior thesis seminar, and engage in the Center’s intellectual community, including seminars, talks, panels, and conferences.
Responsibilities- Progress on independent research projects in moral philosophy.
- Teach one course per year, likely a senior thesis seminar.
- Participate in a year-long research seminar for visiting fellows and in a year-long seminar for the Center’s Postdoctoral Associates.
- Regularly attend and contribute to Center-sponsored talks, panels, and conferences.
- Ph.D. in philosophy or related field obtained by or expected before September 1, 2026.
- No more than two years of postdoctoral experience at the start of appointment.
- Specialized research in moral philosophy (ethics, moral theory, meta-ethics; does not include political philosophy).
- Demonstrated previous accomplishments and a promising proposed research project in moral philosophy.
One-year term beginning September 1, 2026, with possible renewal for up to one additional year on satisfactory performance and continued funding.
LocationIn-person on campus at Princeton University.
SalaryExpected salary range: $80,000 per year.
