Operations Manager
Princeton University’s Facilities Operations department seeks an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic staff.
Responsibilities- Manage residential renovation and selected maintenance projects up to $2M from initial planning phases through closeout.
- Develop architectural program and project budget in consultation with the Office of Housing and Real Estate Services (HRES).
- Manage project scope, budget and schedule from inception to completion, maintaining stakeholder expectations.
- Conduct architect selection process in concert with HRES and Facilities Procurement Office.
- Obtain all required internal and external project approvals.
- Determine appropriate construction format and organize selection of a builder.
- Represent the University’s interests through the design and construction process with internal groups, serving as primary liaison between design and construction teams.
- Maintain portfolio reports and update project information in departmental reporting systems (financial reporting, project status reporting). Familiar with digital tools including CADD, Excel, PMWeb, and ACCBuild.
- Professional degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of facility design, management, and budgetary experience.
- Experience in higher education preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction documents, understand applicable construction codes and land‑use ordinances, have an overview of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and a solid grasp of construction industry practices and procedures.
- Salary Range: $131,000 to $145,000.
