Job Title: Litigation Practice Assistant

Location: Princeton NJ (Hybrid)

Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Practice Assistant to support our legal team in managing a variety of litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in docketing, e-filing, and administrative tasks, with an understanding of both state and federal court processes. This role is essential to maintaining efficiency within our litigation practice and ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and the litigation team, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management.
  • Manage the docketing process and maintain accurate case calendars, deadlines, and filings.
  • Prepare and process court filings, including electronic filings (e-filing) at both state and federal levels.
  • Assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
  • Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant case information as needed.
  • Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal procedures and firm policies.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Litigation Practice Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with docketing systems and e-filing procedures at state and federal levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Docketing experience preferred.
  • E-Filing experience at both state and federal levels (highly preferred).
  • New Jersey Notary certification (a plus).

$85,000 - $90,000 a year
