Job Title: Litigation Practice Assistant
Location: Princeton NJ (Hybrid)
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Practice Assistant to support our legal team in managing a variety of litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in docketing, e-filing, and administrative tasks, with an understanding of both state and federal court processes. This role is essential to maintaining efficiency within our litigation practice and ensuring seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to attorneys and the litigation team, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management.
- Manage the docketing process and maintain accurate case calendars, deadlines, and filings.
- Prepare and process court filings, including electronic filings (e-filing) at both state and federal levels.
- Assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant case information as needed.
- Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal procedures and firm policies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Litigation Practice Assistant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with docketing systems and e-filing procedures at state and federal levels.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Docketing experience preferred.
- E-Filing experience at both state and federal levels (highly preferred).
- New Jersey Notary certification (a plus).
$85,000 - $90,000 a year
