Legend Biotech is seeking an IT Portfolio Analyst as part of the IT team based in Somerset, NJ
.
The IT Portfolio Analyst plays a key role in managing the financial performance of the global IT organization. This position consolidates and analyzes financial data across global IT cost centres, facilitates cost allocation and chargeback processes, and provides accurate forecasts to support strategic and operational decision‑making. The role works closely with IT cost centre owners, Finance, Procurement and Accounting to ensure transparency, accountability and optimisation of IT spend aligned with business priorities.
The IT Portfolio Analyst will contribute to improving IT financial governance, forecasting accuracy and portfolio visibility through data‑driven insights and process‑improvement initiatives.
- Manage and monitor the overall financial performance across all global IT cost centres (labour, vendor, software, infrastructure, etc.)
- Partner with Finance to analyse financial performance reports, highlight variances, trends and key drivers, and ensure alignment between IT forecasts and corporate financial targets
- Support annual IT budget planning and mid‑year forecast cycles
- Facilitate accurate cost allocation and chargeback processes across global business units and functions
- Maintain and validate allocation methodologies and mapping between cost centres, business units and service towers
- Track and forecast IT run and project expenses, ensuring accurate capitalisation vs. expense classification in compliance with accounting standards
- Provide scenario analysis and recommendations to optimise IT spending and resource utilisation
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in tools such as Power BI, Excel or Smartsheet to visualise portfolio financials and KPIs
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities, operational efficiencies and process automation initiatives through data‑driven insights and regular industry benchmark assessment
- Support IT Portfolio Management reporting by linking financial performance to project and service delivery outcomes
- Support implementation of IT Financial Management (ITFM/TBM) frameworks and best practices
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, standards and governance models
- Drive continuous improvement in financial forecasting, cost transparency and reporting accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance or related field required;
Master’s degree or MBA preferred - 3–5 years of experience in IT financial management, FP&A, portfolio management or business analysis roles
- Experience working in a global, matrixed IT organisation (preferably in life sciences, pharma or technology industries)
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modelling) and Power BI (data visualisation, dashboarding)
- Familiarity with ERP and financial systems (SAP) and IT service management tools (Service Now)
- Understanding of IT cost structures (OPEX/CAPEX, run/grow/transform models) and allocation methodologies
