Job Title: IT Laboratory Systems Support Specialist
Location:
New Jersey (Onsite)
We are seeking a skilled and dependable IT Laboratory Systems Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support in a regulated laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise IT support experience, hands‑on troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work in a 24/7 operational setting. Experience supporting pharmaceutical laboratory computing environments is highly preferred.
This role requires strong problem‑solving skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to support hardware, software, and network‑related issues in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite IT support for laboratory systems and end‑user computing devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laboratory software applications.
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, repairs, and device replacements (PCs, printers, lab‑connected systems, peripherals).
- Support enterprise IT infrastructure, including basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Manage user accounts, Active Directory groups, and file/folder permissions.
- Respond to service tickets and incidents in compliance with SLA requirements.
- Support IT operations in a 24/7 environment with flexible scheduling as needed.
- Document issues, resolutions, and system changes according to company policies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including lab operations, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company IT policies, especially in GMP‑regulated environments (if applicable).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Enterprise IT support and troubleshooting.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in software installation and troubleshooting.
- Minimum 3 years of hardware troubleshooting experience.
- At least 1 year of networking experience (basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting, connectivity issues).
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support a 24/7 operational environment.
