Job Summary

Audio Visual Technician to support the Princeton Neuroscience Institute and Psychology Department. Length of engagement: 3 months, with possibility of extension or permanent employment.

• Conduct regular walkthroughs of departmental meeting rooms to confirm A/V functionality.
• Troubleshoot and support equipment including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, and conferencing systems.
• Respond to emergency support requests via hotline phone number and email.
• Assist staff and presenters with event and presentation setups.
• Provide onsite support for departmental events, including Class Day held annually on Memorial Day.
• Track issues and communicate equipment needs or recurring problems to leadership.

• 1‑3 years of A/V, IT support, or event technology experience.
• Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other conferencing platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedules.
• Plus:
  Experience with research/lab devices in any vertical (Higher Ed research, pharmaceutical research, etc.).
