We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux Shell scripting, IBM Data Stage, and SQL Server. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide application deployments, mentor junior developers, and participate in code reviews. The position requires a proactive, self-motivated, and organized individual with a strong team orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using Linux Shell scripting and IBM Data Stage.
Work with SQL Server to build, deploy, and troubleshoot database applications.
Collaborate with other teams to design, implement, and deploy applications.
Guide application deployment activities and ensure successful rollouts.
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support on technical tasks and best practices.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Maintain clear communication with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5+ years of applications development experience.
Strong knowledge of Linux Shell scripting, IBM Data Stage, and SQL Server.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior developers.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
Must have worked in an Onsite-Offshore development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with additional databases beyond SQL Server would be a plus.
Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
Experience with other tools like Data Stage connectors or ETL tools would be advantageous.
Certifications (if any):
Any relevant IBM Data Stage or Linux-related certifications are a plus but not required.
