We are looking for Cloud Network Engineer who is a network specialist familiar with cloud architecture network designs, implementations, and support.
You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of AWS cloud networks.
As a Cloud Network Engineer for a Core Network team, you will be asked to balance a number of responsibilities and skills! From traditional network design and troubleshooting to working with native networks for specific cloud providers and platforms. You should bring the capability to implement cloud deployments and interconnect disparate IT environments. Duties often include the following:
- Design.Apply a comprehensive understanding of
network technologies
and concepts. This includes routing, switching, firewalls, and network monitoring and management. - Develop, test, and upgrade enterprise network architectures of AWS cloud platforms,
- Administration.Upgrade, patch, and maintain the overall network infrastructure.
- Monitoring.Monitor the utilization, performance, and availability of the cloud network infrastructure and its services.
- Documentation.Work with engineers, architects and IT support teams to establish guides, procedures, training, and other documentation for audits and compliance and to sustain the cloud network and its services.
- Security.Support the architecture, design, implementation, and compliance efforts for effective cloud network security.
- Integration.When required, perform network integration work to support hybrid or multi-cloud models, such as connecting a private cloud with AWS.
- Troubleshooting.Identify and resolve network problems. This task often extends into off‑hours operations and involves 24/7 on‑call support.
- Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
- Expertise with major router platforms; specifically, a deep technical understanding of all internal hardware components and experience with router system design.
- Transit and Peering provider knowledge including certain unique geographical challenges
- Expert‑level network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis.
- Cloud Network Security Engineer will work to Support Production Infrastructure Requirements including Linux, Windows, Networking
- He/she will be deploying and administering the AWS Cloud to implement access and security.
- He/she will be Deploying and maintaining the Linux Windows Servers.
- Design, Deploy, and Administering Virtualized Infrastructure using AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Implementing various cloud security standards, monitoring, and troubleshooting the cloud environment
- Experienced in Scripting using cloud formation
- Configuring VPCs, Subnet, and Direct Connect Security Groups on AWS
- Configuring Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
- Configuring and troubleshooting VPNs
- Working with Identity management systems for Single Sign‑On.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact efficiently with peers and customers is required.
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux‑based environments in AWS
- Demonstrated, hands‑on, knowledge of
AWS Network monitoring tools: AWS Cloud Trail, Cloud Watch Agent in the EC2, AWS Certificate, Amazon EC2 Dashboard, Net App Cloud Insights, Data Dog - Experience handling various services like EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Security Hub etc in AWS cloud
- Troubleshooting and configuration experience with routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, and VPN technologies
- Demonstrated, hands‑on, knowledge of network orchestration and automation, using Terraform, Cloud Formation, Chef, or Ansible.
- Demonstrated, hands‑on, knowledge of managing configuration and rules on a next‑generation firewall, such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco.
- Working understanding of AWS application load balancing, network load balancing, security groups, and direct connect
- Experience handling Virtualization and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Jenkins)
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of industry experience in a similar environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking
- Background in high availability, global backbone design, and architecture is highly preferred
