Position SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic Worldwide Medical Lead to oversee Cell Therapy Autoimmune programs. This role shapes and executes the global medical strategy across disease areas within rheumatology and neurology and provides oversight of other development areas for the growing Cell Therapy portfolio. The leader will ensure scientific excellence and collaborate with the US Cell Therapy Medical organization and cross-functional teams (R&D, Commercial, Market Access) to maximize portfolio value.
This position reports to the VP, Head of Medical Cell Therapy.
- Strategic Leadership
- Lead teams to develop and execute global medical strategies across Autoimmune diseases for Cell therapy portfolio, aligning with organizational goals and patient needs
- Anticipate and respond to dynamic market landscapes, including scientific, regulatory, and competitive challenges, ensuring a leadership position in the global oncology market
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure launch readiness
- Collaborate with R&D, Commercial, and Market Access to shape pipeline and portfolio strategies for early assets
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure evidence generation supports submissions, reimbursement decisions, and market access
- Portfolio Impact And Innovation
- Identify unmet needs, market trends, and opportunities for new product development
- Oversee differentiation strategies and signal-seeking initiatives to expand the pipeline
- Shape early development strategy and contribute to trial designs and recruitment
- Ensure appropriate access for patients across US and international markets
- Team Accountability
- Lead AIMs to ensure strategy is co-created with markets and assets reflect country needs while driving market performance
- Partner with Immunology and Cell Therapy Commercial teams
- Operational Excellence And Outcomes
- Lead a high-performing, inclusive team and foster accountability, collaboration, and empowerment
- Drive organizational efficiency with streamlined processes for global execution of programs and launches
- Use digital tools and data-driven insights to shape medical and business strategies
- Establish systems to measure outcomes across medical activities and drive continuous improvement
- External Leadership And Influence
- Serve as the global medical face of Cell Therapy in Autoimmune Diseases and engage with regulators, academia, medical organizations, and patient groups
- Strengthen the company’s reputation as a partner of choice in cell therapy through patient-centric and science-driven solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships to accelerate access and collaboration globally
- Advanced Scientific Degree (MD, Pharm
D, PhD, NP) preferred with 15+ years of executive management experience in clinical development and medical affairs, global or market-based - Disease area expert in Immunology
- Clinical or Academic Experience (Patient Facing) desirable
- Understanding of research and drug development and ability to communicate data effectively
- Medical Strategy Experience
- Proven leadership in a complex, matrix environment with successful results
- Experience building and delivering Medical capabilities in a global organization
- Track record of building and leading high-performance teams
- Travel expected: 30%
Compensation range: $326,660 - $395,829. Starting pay considers role characteristics; final compensation based on experience. Benefits details available on careers site. Eligible benefits may vary by location.
