Role Overview

The Director, Publications and Medical Communications, Oncology will develop and implement global publication strategies for Oncology and Cell Therapy programs. Responsibilities include leading communication efforts across various formats, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring compliance with scientific and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an 18-month strategic global publications plan.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and external partners to execute the medical communications strategy.
  • Lead publication team meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage external author communications and publication steering committees.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate publication and communication activities.
  • Oversee publication processes, ensuring quality, compliance, and documentation.
  • Manage budgets transparently and effectively.
  • Ensure publications adhere to industry guidelines (GPP3, ICMJE, etc.) and legal requirements.
  • Train and oversee vendors to ensure compliance with SOPs and company standards.
  • Contribute to SOP improvements and process enhancements.
  • Qualifications
    • Advanced degree (Pharm

      D, PhD, MD) in biomedical sciences or equivalent experience in Oncology publication management.
    • Proven experience in managing scientific publications, preferably in Cell Therapy or Hematology-Oncology.
    • 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech industries, with significant experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development roles.
    • Strong knowledge of publication practices, industry guidelines, and software systems.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

    Additional Information

    Base salary ranges from $150,000 to $280,000, dependent on experience and location. We are committed to equal employment opportunities and diversity.
