Who We Are
Meroka is building the future of independent medicine in the United States. We provide operations, finance, tech, and strategic support to physician-owned practices-helping them grow sustainably and with soul. This is in addition to support for physicians transitioning ownership to the employees of the business.
We believe in clear communication, practical systems, thoughtful design, and long-term thinking. Our tone is warm, grounded, and confident-but never corporate or clinical.
This Role Is Not for You If…
- You want a rigid role where tasks rarely change
- You prefer to work in isolation rather than rotating across multiple parts of the practice
- You see patient interactions as purely transactional rather than an opportunity to build lasting trust
- You are uncomfortable learning both clinical and administrative responsibilities
- You are looking for a short term role instead of growing with a long term team
- Rotate Across Roles:
Move seamlessly between front desk reception, patient rooming, and back office tasks depending on practice needs - Clinical Support:
Assist with exams and procedures, take vital signs, prepare patients, and update electronic health records - Patient
Experience:
Greet patients warmly, answer phones, schedule appointments, and help coordinate follow up care - Administrative Coordination:
Manage check in and check out processes, verify insurance, collect copays, and ensure accurate records - Team
Collaboration:
Step in wherever needed, from supporting providers in the exam room to helping at reception during busy periods, to keep the day running smoothly - Practice Growth:
Contribute to quality improvement projects and help strengthen the culture of ownership and teamwork within the practice
- Has prior experience as a medical assistant, receptionist, or other healthcare support role (OBGYN experience is a plus but not required)
- Is comfortable rotating between clinical and administrative responsibilities based on daily needs
- Communicates clearly and kindly with patients and colleagues
- Is organized, detail oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment
- Learns quickly and adapts with a positive attitude when priorities shift
- Wants to be part of a team where every member shares ownership in the practice’s success
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation and health benefits
- Flexible scheduling options (full time or part time)
- Participation in an employee ownership model where every team member shares in the value they help create
- Training and development across both clinical and administrative functions
- A practice culture that prioritizes joy in medicine, mutual respect, and long term sustainability
- This role is based at one of our partner OBGYN practices in the United States. Team members are expected to rotate across front desk and medical assistant duties regularly to support daily operations. Every member of the practice contributes where needed and no job is above or below anyone.
