Position: Director, Market Access Marketing (Oncology)

Overview

The Genmab Market Access Marketing Director will be responsible for advancing the overall market access marketing strategy and supporting tactics for a future oncology product in Head & Neck and Colorectal Cancer. The role will work across the Global and US Market Access organizations to ensure Market Access segments (Field Execution teams, Strategic Pricing & Contracting, Patient Services & Support Teams, Trade & Distribution) as well as CORE (COE Real-World Evidence & Epidemiology), Market Access Alliance team members, Medical and Marketing are consulted and remain an integral part of strategic development.

The role will ensure that key market access tactics are executed against the broader affected organization (Marketing, Sales, and Insights & Analytics). The overarching goal is to position Genmab medicines for best product access across the US Healthcare Ecosystem and help people who need our medicines obtain them.

This role will develop the primary market access resources for the Market Access account team and activities instrumental to the brand’s success, including the ongoing development and integration of Real World Evidence (RWE) into Value Proposition presentations, access programs and collateral. The role will partner with Market Access, CORE, and Marketing teams to strategize on the approach across segments to ensure optimal access and gross-to-net (GTN).

The role will also ensure payer and reimbursement strategies are aligned across the brand and portfolio. In collaboration with Market Access and Training, the role will ensure that customer-facing teams are trained and resourced on current strategies for the asset.

Responsibilities

  • Developing the annual and/or quarterly Market Access product-specific strategic planning and partnering with all Market Access segments, Marketing functions, Finance, and Global Partners to ensure strategic and tactical efforts are aligned for brand planning with a focus on Market Access customer needs
  • Developing access-focused strategic resources for Population Health Decision Makers for Market Access account teams, including economic resources, value propositions, competitive intelligence, and objection handlers by engaging with Corporate Account Directors, Payer Account Directors, CORE, Health Economic Outcome Liaisons and other partners to integrate data and knowledge into strategic planning and execution of market access strategies
  • Creating and implementing communication and training plans consistently for Market Access tactics across segments
  • Directing the development of market research including qualitative and quantitative studies, and defining go-to-market principles to achieve product commercialization
  • Creating trusted relationships among Market Access and Cross-Functional Partners
  • Mastering the Genmab Veeva Promo Mats process, including collaboration with reviewers, understanding compliance guidelines, Market Access SOPs, FDA marketing policies and vendor payment systems

This position is located in Princeton, NJ, and can work 40% remotely (onsite 2-3 days per week) with 20% travel as needed. Relocation is not provided and only local candidates will be considered.

Requirements/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sciences or business; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years in payer/access marketing experience
  • Knowledge of Market Access customer types, formulary decision makers, FDAMA/21st Century Cures Act, Patient Services, Reimbursement Policies, Federal/Government stakeholders
  • Proven track record in commercial pharmaceuticals with strong execution
  • Experience with Payers, IDNs and Corporate Accounts is desirable
  • Understanding of specialty and oncologic therapeutics, including DRGs, specialty distribution, and GPO dynamics
  • Experience launching new products and building PIE presentations
  • Ability to identify market trends and implications
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership qualities that foster trust and empower team members
  • Understanding of the Oncology marketplace and US market environment for heme and solid tumors
