Environmental Services Worker - Full Time

Schedule: Second Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday and 7am - 3:30pm on weekend days. This position requires every other weekend.
Summary: Cleans and maintains the Medical Center at Princeton and Princeton House buildings and performs a variety of Environmental Services duties. Always must adhere to infection control and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, dusts, dries and wet mops, vacuums, properly utilizes “wet floor” sign, cleans vents and televisions, damp dusts furniture, bed cabinets, overbed tables, lamps, windowsills, bed mattresses, televisions, telephones, and any other room furniture, always using proper germicide.
- Gathers and disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets, and large refuse containers and replaces liners. Disposes of all medical waste according to the Infection Control Manual.
- Supports customer service and performance improvement goals of the department, collaborates with other caregivers/staff within and outside the Department to develop means of enhancing patient care and service.
- Performs emergency housekeeping functions when assigned, participates in unit compliance as related to established standards, and meets or exceeds departmental HCAHPS scores.
- Uses proper dilution of germicide when cleaning, spot washes or washes entire walls, ceilings, and inside windows, performs high dusting, washes all beds, mattresses, and furniture, cleans light fixtures, replenishes supplies, and reports any defective outlets or fixtures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
Salary Range: $17.38 - $23.98 per hour.
