LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Plant Controller that will serve as the accounting and finance lead for a manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role responsible for end-to-end plant finance and accounting operations, including cost accounting, general ledger ownership, month‑end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory control. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing and plant‑level accounting experience and is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities- Own the general ledger for the plant, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with GAAP
- Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and plant-level reporting packages
- Manage standard and actual cost accounting, including BOMs, routings, labor, overhead, and variance analysis
- Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventories, reserves, and inventory valuation
- Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the plant
- Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights, operational analysis, and decision support
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics, including cost drivers and operational variances
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes and plant efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong plant-level and facility accounting experience
- Proven expertise in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting
- Hands‑on experience with general ledger, month‑end close, and financial statement preparation
- Solid understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing cost structures
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP)
$120,000-$145,000
Benefit offerings for full‑time employment include medical, dental, vision
