Loan Officer

Our client, a not-for-profit financial institution, is seeking a Bank Teller to join their team in Princeton, NJ.

$26/hr

The Bank Teller is responsible for building trusting relationships with members and supporting them in their loan process, from processing their applications to preparing them for supervisory review.

• The Bank Teller is responsible for interviewing and assisting members in the loan application process to ensure completeness of information.
• The Bank Teller will work alongside the Member Services staff to help improve members' financial well-being by overseeing, supporting, and implementing sales initiatives.
• Promote products and services based on member needs obtained from member interviews.
• Enter the loan application into the loan processing software.
• Order property search, flood certification, appraisal, and any additional items needed according to the loan policy for home equity loans.
• Determine collateral needs or payment plan options for applicants to strengthen the application.
• Approve loan applications in accordance with loan policy and seek additional review or approval as necessary and required.
• Communicate the loan decision to the loan applicant in person or by phone.
• Prepare final loan documentation and execute the loan settlement with applicants.

• 2+ years of banking experience.

• 4+ years of experience in lending.
• 2+ years of experience in loan underwriting.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
