We are currently seeking a Project Manager, Environmental Scientist, to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients.
This is a full-time position located in our Cherry Hill, NJ or Princeton, NJ office.
- Oversee day-to-day management of project teams with a focus on project delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety.
- Ensure projects are executed to meet project, client, and regulatory objectives.
- Lead all aspects of the project life cycle including cost estimating and proposal preparation, scheduling, subcontracting, resourcing, project planning, execution, document preparation and review, and financial management.
- Demonstrate technical competence, knowledge of New Jersey codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the project team, supporting field teams, providing oversight, and observing health and safety processes and procedures.
- Regularly and effectively communicate with clients, partners, subcontractors, regulators and other stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and support staff to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, technical reports, and deliverables.
- Plan and manage site characterization programs and coordinate field investigations.
- Plan all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in environmental investigation/remediation, and compliance experience in New Jersey.
- Professional registration or certification, as applicable.
- Specific experience with the NYSDEC, NYCOER and/or NJDEP compliance deliverables.
- Experience with PFAS, NJ site remediation, due diligence, and superfund locations.
- Ability to independently lead project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
- Proficient computer literacy skills including the use of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and the ability to learn various software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing, reviewing and editing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to work on interdisciplinary project teams.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software.
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
- 2+ years of related project management, financial management, or task management experience.
- LSRP license or the ability to obtain.
- Expertise with industry-specific software.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates desirable.
The salary range for this position in Cherry Hill, NJ and Princeton, NJ is $109,000 - $130,000 annually.
