Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering firm. This role is responsible for leading and managing civil engineering projects from initial planning through final completion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving, with hands‑on exposure to complex infrastructure and land development projects. This position oversees the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence in civil design, roadway engineering, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept, planning, and design through construction and closeout.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within established budget parameters.
  • Prepare detailed civil engineering plans, technical specifications, and accurate cost estimates.
  • Coordinate and align technical designs with internal engineers and cross‑functional project teams.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee on‑site activities to ensure adherence to approved plans and applicable codes.
  • Take a hands‑on role in managing the full lifecycle of complex infrastructure and development projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and timely progress.
  • Apply advanced engineering principles to design horizontal and vertical roadway alignments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control systems.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience, with demonstrated project leadership responsibilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively working toward licensure.
  • Strong technical expertise in civil design, roadway engineering, and drainage systems.
  • Proven experience in project management, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Proficiency with Bentley Open Roads, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, CAD tools, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and site supervision skills.
