Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be onsite at our customer site in Princeton, New Jersey, performing routine customer support activities including installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance of Azenta’s equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair and conduct preventive diagnosis on equipment and systems following Azenta’s policies and procedures.
• Interface with customers to maintain contract SLA and customer satisfaction levels.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to company and customer protocols.
• Obtain Equipment Service and Operation Certification as required.
• Submit service and status reports on all support activities.
• React productively to changing priorities, including tool or line down and escalations.
• Adopt Proof of Concept for both customer and internal Azenta management.
• Provide weekly system performance summaries, issue analysis and root‑cause / corrective actions.
• Assist with sample migration from old format to new format and load into customer store.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science (AS) degree, technical certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience or military technical training.
• Strong electrical and mechanical background.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Structured and comprehensive troubleshooting skills, able to handle problems independently.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to obtain a valid passport.
• Qualified to meet background screening requirements.
• Proficient with PC, Windows, and DOS‑based operating systems;
  Oracle experience highly beneficial.
• Live within commuting distance to Princeton, New Jersey.

Working Conditions

• International travel required at times.
• May work on-call, holidays, weekends.
• Work in cold environments.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, scaffold, and use personal protective equipment.
