The Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education seeks an energetic, detail‑oriented, and motivated professional to manage its undergraduate academic program. This position oversees all administrative and operational aspects of undergraduate student academic matters, including curriculum planning, student advising, program communications, and coordination of academic events. The undergraduate administrator ensures the program operates smoothly and delivers exceptional service to students, faculty, and campus partners.

The role works closely with the Director and Executive Director of the Keller Center, residential college deans and directors, departmental faculty, and undergraduate students, and maintains regular contact with key University offices such as the Office of the Dean of the College, Office of the Dean of the Faculty, and the Registrar’s Office. The position reports to the Manager of Finance and Administration and collaborates closely with the faculty director on academic initiatives.

The Keller Center has on average 15-20 affiliated faculty, 1-2 visiting faculty, and several administrative staff.

The Keller Center offers 25+ courses and 2 academic minors.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary administrator for all Keller Center minor students; respond to inquiries and provide clear guidance to current and prospective students.
  • Monitor and analyze student degree progress to ensure program requirements are met; update records and systems accordingly.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all undergraduate academic program events.
  • Advise faculty and students on University academic policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain student data and records for reports and institutional needs.
  • Partner with residential college deans to support students in arranging tutoring and accessing academic resources.
  • Organize and participate in Undergraduate Student Committee meetings; support committee initiatives; manage processes for graduation honors, prizes, and awards.
Curriculum Program Management
  • Oversee the full life-cycle of course planning and logistics: gather and enter course information, manage course scheduling, and book instructional spaces.
  • Advise students on course offerings and enrollment options in partnership with a faculty leader; monitor enrollments and manage course change requests.
  • Process new course proposals and recommend solutions to curricular or scheduling challenges.
  • Maintain course websites, manage textbook orders, prepare course materials, and review and submit course reports.
  • Oversee the evaluation of transfer course applications; collect and analyze related data.
  • Support faculty with academic policies, course processes, and exam scheduling.
Summer And Internship Program Management
  • Provide support to the Keller Center’s undergraduate summer programs, internships, and placement initiatives.
  • Assist with student selection, placement, and funding request processes.
  • Communicate summer and career development opportunities to students.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide support to undergraduate student organizations affiliated with the Keller Center.
  • Assist with the development of program communications, including announcements, flyers, and informational materials.
  • Assist with purchasing course materials.
  • Assist with promotion of student and alumni achievements through the Center’s communication channels.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Effective engagement with faculty/staff/students at all levels, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
