Position Title: School Counselor (Part-Time)

Location: French American School of Princeton (Pre-K through 8th Grade independent school in Princeton, NJ)

Schedule: Part-time — 24 hours/week

Supervisor: Head of School

Salary: $37,000/year

Starting Date: September 1, 2025

Contract: September to June (paid over 12 months)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our team and support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. The counselor will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to foster a positive and supportive school environment.

• Provide drop-in counseling services to students as needed.
• Act as a liaison with external mental health providers and coordinate care when necessary.
• OWer crisis intervention and support for students experiencing urgent emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Implement and support in-class Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs to foster students’ emotional growth and well-being.
• Lead or assist with in-class bullying prevention initiatives to promote a safe and inclusive school environment.
• Conduct parent education workshops to strengthen the school-home partnership and provide guidance on supporting student well-being.

• Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with PK-8 school-aged children preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• French proficiency is not required.
