Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 (bonus / overtime eligible)
Job DescriptionOur client, a multidisciplinary AECM firm with a strong east‑coast presence, is hiring a Construction Inspector. This is a full‑time, direct‑hire position based in Princeton/South Jersey, with occasional travel to worksites. The role supports infrastructure projects across the Trenton, NJ region, focused on bridge, highway, or structural projects, with special consideration for railroad experience and familiarity with NJ DOT or NJ Transit protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on‑site inspections of bridge, highway, and rail‑related construction projects.
- Monitor contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and photographic documentation.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and agency representatives to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
- Identify and document deficiencies, recommending corrective measures when needed.
- Support quantity verification and documentation for pay estimates.
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety standards and site regulations.
- At least 2.5 to 3 years of experience inspecting bridge, highway, or structural construction projects.
- Experience on railroad‑related construction sites.
- Familiarity with or experience working on NJ DOT and/or NJ Transit inspection protocols is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with field documentation tools and inspection software.
- NICET Level II or III in Transportation/Construction Materials Testing or a similar discipline.
- Equivalent hands‑on experience may be considered beteiligt.
