Job Title: Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst (Contract)
Location: Princeton, NJ Area (Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Duration: Immediate start through July
We are seeking a Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst for a temporary engagement supporting the accounting and finance team. This role will focus on financial statement preparation, general ledger reconciliations, and treasury-related activities while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for various GL accounts, including external debt, hedges, and pension activity
- Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts
- Support internal and external audit requests to ensure audits remain on track
- Assist with daily cash operations, liquidity planning, and short-term borrowing or investment activities
- Coordinate with lenders to ensure interest and related payments are completed on time
- Conduct technical accounting research, including implementation of new accounting standards and evaluation of complex transactions
- Provide support on special projects and other accounting tasks as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic and intermediate accounting principles and US GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Experience with financial systems such as JDE (ERP) and Workiva is a plus
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal controls
