Sr. Accountant

Description

Our client is looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join their team in the Princeton, New Jersey area. This role requires an experienced individual with a keen eye for detail who excels in financial management and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support the organization's financial objectives.

Salary is 75,000 - 95,000.

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, PTO, and life insurance.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and manage month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Maintain and oversee entries in the general ledger, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.

- Create and review journal entries to support accurate and compliant accounting practices.

- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and internal records.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to improve decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

Requirements

- Strong experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in handling journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and financial reporting.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Familiarity with accounting regulations and standards.

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
