The Mechanical Designer creates designs and technical documentation for mechanical devises and equipment. Ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automated equipment, gear reduction, servo and VFD drives, etc. Works well independently and with a team.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• High Mechanical Aptitude
• Complex problem solving
• Autodesk Inventor experience (or similar)
• Auto Cad, Macros, Visual Basic, and Excel skills desirable
• Strong Communication Skills
• Works well under pressure
• Machining and assembly knowledge

• Customer interaction to help establish machinery requirements and determine automated processes
• Travel to customer facilities to discuss and understand manufacturing process and concepts
• Design and manage complete machine assemblies while maintaining company design procedures
• Delivering design presentations with both internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied
• Tracking design progress of multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously and ensuring design consistency
• Creation of documentation for the machine build process
• Interaction and cooperation with other departments (Machining, Welding, Purchasing, Assembly)
