JOB DESCRIPTIONA Lift Truck Operator is responsible for operating forklifts/double pole or other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials. The operator ensures materials are transported safely and efficiently in distribution centers, to ensure the Customer is getting the correct product.
NEEDEDSKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Operate lift trucks (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack, reach truck) to transport materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks or containers.
- Stack and organize products in the correct storage areas.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on the lift truck to ensure safety.
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
- Keep accurate records of material movements.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as instructed by supervisor
- Ability to read and write
- Prior experience driving lift truck with different attachments, (Pole, Squeeze and forks)
- Ability to operate a wrap station
- Ability to key in data at a computer/Hand held scan gun
- Ability to work in warehouse temperatures as the weather changes
- Proven experience operating lift truck in a warehouse setting
- Basic Math and inventory skills
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and time management
- Willing to train on other jobs
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
