Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for an Aggregate Foreman position at our Princeton and/or Canton locations. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Manage an operation with approximately 5-15 employees.
* Efficiently supervise production of a 300-700k operation.
* Ensure the pit and mine activities are achieved to plan specifications.
* Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.
* Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement.
* Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and providing development through training.
* Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations.
* Direct mine and pit planning.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
* Actively reaching out and being involved in the local community.
Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree in mining engineering, or similar is preferred.
* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in operations and engineering as well as significant experience in aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying.
* Working knowledge of AggQC and Agg Flow is a plus.
* Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
* Possess strong basic math knowledge.
* Basic surveying and mapping skills are required.
* Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
* Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.
* Ability to develop strong leadership at the lead person and foreman levels.
* Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
* Underground Experience Preferred.
