As a custom job shop, every day brings a diverse set of challenges and successes.
Responsibilities for our CNC Machinists include, but are not limited to:
- Machine Setups
- Programming on Machine Tools
- Adjusting and reprogramming controls
- Operate large CNC mills and lathes
- Maintaining specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements when performing drilling, grooving, and cutting, turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing
- Troubleshooting programming and process errors
- Perform preventative maintenance for assigned machines
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Follow work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Maintain specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements when performing drilling, grooving, and cutting, turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing, measurements, interpreting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools; sharpening tools, and adhering to quality requirements, procedures, and processes
- Associate's Degree or Higher in CNC Machining; or
- Three years of directly-related CNC machine work experience
- CNC Machining experience
- Ability to basic math functions
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend G and M code
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Detail-oriented
The physical demands of this position include vision, hearing, manual dexterity, standing or walking for long periods, reaching, bending, lifting and carrying up to 50lbs, climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
