Position: IDG / CSD Technician II

Silver Wings Aerospace located in Princeton, Florida is currently seeking an Experienced CSD/IDG Technician to join our team.

Job Title: IDG/CSD Technician II

The CSD/IDG Technician is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, overhaul, modifications and reassembly of CSD components. Technicians perform routine, non-routine and preventative maintenance on all parts of the aircraft according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Silver Wings Aerospace regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management.
  • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, to customer supplications and regulatory requirements.
  • Uses appropriate inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
  • Utilizes the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and performs preventative tasks as needed.
  • Records information and accomplishes the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Assists Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received.
  • Maintains open two-way communication with Manager and teammates, appropriately sharing both good and bad news.
  • Provides timely quotes of units.
  • Maintains personal and shop calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition.
  • Complies with all safety directives and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
  • Assists in cross-training Tech I personnel.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to work as a team member and possess good inter-personal skills.
  • Must have a good understanding of aviation related fuel and methods and processes.

  • Computer skills—general Windows skills mandatory.

  • Must be able to provide your own tools.
  • Must be capable of using standard tools including, but not limited to, screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function.
  • Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, and repair/overhaul of aircraft components.
Technical Proficiency and Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aircraft Regulations (FAR).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, Standard Repair Manuals (SRM), and component maintenance manuals (CMM).
  • Work overtime as required by production requirements.
