Electrical Design Engineer

We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer, the company Location :
Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire (Office-Based)

So that you know, this is an office-based role. Candidates must either be willing to commute to Princes Risborough or relocate to the area.

£45,000 – £50,000 per annum

Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm

We are a leading system builder and distributor of electrical enclosures and components, offering value-added services including design, in-house machining, assembly, and wiring. Our facilities include metal punching, forming, and welding capabilities. Our customers operate across diverse industries such as Water & Wastewater, Automotive, Rail, Highways, Food Processing, HVAC, and Instrumentation.

We are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join our drawing office. In this role, you will develop and enhance new and existing circuit solutions in line with company requirements and customer demands. If you are a motivated Electrical Engineer with experience in the electrical design of control panels, we would love to hear from you.

• Develop and enhance new and existing circuit solutions
• Produce electrical layouts and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Create Bill of Materials (BOMs)
• Prepare specifications and test requirement documentation
• Test, develop, and debug designs
• Review design developments for conformance with applicable standards
• Support electrical panel production
• Attend and contribute to design reviews

• Degree or HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in electrical engineering calculations for sizing cables and electrical equipment
• Proven experience designing electrical control panels
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy team
• Working knowledge of simple PLC systems and programming software is desirable but not essential
