Mental Health Intake Worker
Location: Prince George, BC
Employment Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
The OpportunityAs part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Intake Worker is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Health and Wellness team. This role ensures the efficient and effective handling of referrals to mental health programs, supporting seamless access to services for clients.
- Process all applications through established screening and waitlist criteria in a timely manner.
- Assess referrals to ensure they meet eligibility criteria for service; follow up with referral sources for clarification or to address ineligibility.
- Maintain accurate tracking of referrals, waitlists, and caseloads.
- Contact clients to coordinate all aspects of the intake process, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Minimum of a high school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of office experience in a related role, preferably in health or social services.

The target hiring range for this position is $25.67 to $33.24 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicant’s role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
