Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Base Pay Range: CA $29.67 to CA $38.42 per hour
Career OpportunityCarrier Sekani Family Services is an Indigenous‑led provider of health and family services focused on culture‑centered care. This role offers an opportunity to work with at‑risk youth in a supportive community setting and to help them access essential resources while contributing to language revitalization and community well‑being.
Responsibilities- Assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the Youth Drop‑in Center.
- Support youth who are at risk of becoming unhoused or who are experiencing barriers to resources and services.
- Create a safe, secure and supportive environment for the youth.
- Advocate and address immediate needs of the youth, including meals, clothing, personal hygiene items, shower, laundry, storage, access to computer, internet and telephone.
- Post‑secondary diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
- At least two (2) years of experience working with at‑risk and high‑risk youth.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Travel to and from Nadleh/Stellat'en may be required.
- Knowledge of Carrier Sekani language and culture is an asset.
