  • Preparing and authenticating technical reports, including but not limited to Environmental Assessments, Environmental Overview Assessments, Fish and Fish Habitat reports, Environmental Management Plans, and Environmental Protection Plans
  • Preparing and/or assisting with the preparation of proposals, internal guidance documents, and presentations
Your Skills & Experience
  • Must be registered with a provincial governing body (e.g., the BC College of Applied Biologists, Alberta Society of Professional Biologists, BC or AB Institute of Agrology)
  • Have at least five years of relevant technical experience, including submitting regulatory applications (experience in the oil and gas industry preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of provincial and federal environmental legislation and regulatory processes (including, but not limited to, the Water Sustainability Act, Wildlife Act, Fisheries Act, BCER’s Environmental Protection and Management Guideline, Alberta Water Act, Alberta Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, federal Fisheries Act, CER Filing Manual)
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills, including the ability to adhere to QA/QC procedures, budgets, and timelines
  • Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
