STUDENT NURSE

Are you a current student nurse with completion of year 2 of the B.C. Collaborative Nursing Program or equivalent
* and continued enrollment in a recognized nursing education program? Then we have a student nursing position for you.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, The Employed Student Nurse (ESN) provides nursing care in a supernumerary capacity to patients/residents/clients commensurate with the level of education and competency attained in a BCCNM approved Nursing program. Working under the direction of an operational manager and regulatory supervisor, operates in accordance with Northern Health values, competency guidelines, policies and British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards for Nursing Practice, Code of Ethics, and student registration guidelines.

ESNs can gain experience in a wide variety of health care settings across Northern Health.
