The Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for direct patient care at the Yu Be-Yah Clinic in Prince George, including telehealth services. The NP supports the primary care team’s delivery of health promotion programs to individuals and groups in a variety of settings and may include the rural and/or remote areas. The NP will deliver programs and services using a holistic model of care and practice in a culturally respectful and safe manner.

• Provides holistic, culturally informed health care to patients across the lifespan from within a primary care team that may consist of Elders, social workers, nurses, physicians, and allied health care professionals.
• Diagnoses and treats disorders and conditions within the statutory and regulatory standards, limits and conditions of BCCNM and CSFS policies and procedures.
• Monitors ongoing care, orders appropriate screening diagnostic investigations; interprets reports of investigations and analyzes information to monitor progress and plan treatment.
• Provides detailed information to patients about health findings/diagnoses and outcomes and prognoses, possible side effects, aftercare maintenance, or preventative care methods.

• Completion of BCCNM approved master's degree level nurse practitioner program.
• Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) - Provincial Opioid Addictions Treatment Support Program (POATSP) for prescribing Opioid Agonist Therapy and Prescribed Safe Supply (OAT/PSS), or willing to obtain.
• CPR (level
  
  C).

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $71.3782 to $92.4366 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on role-specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and consideration of market conditions and internal equity.
