Position: SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager leads and directs all aspects of assigned projects and initiatives for designated programs/services throughout Northern Health (NH). The scope of work focuses on managing highly complex projects and initiatives that have many interdependencies and high levels of organizational transformation.

Plans and manages initiatives, which involves coordinating multiple projects to attain an overarching strategic goal, including overall accountability for initiative resource expenditures, and ensuring outcomes are achieved. In the capacity of project manager, they ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and on budget, as described in the project plan. Leads and coordinates project activities including financial responsibility and management of resources as deemed necessary to meet the schedule and budget for project deliverables.

Establishes project teams and provides leadership, guidance, direction, and support to project staff, including other project managers, in a variety of reporting relationships including direct report, matrix and staff that are seconded to projects part time. Communicates with all levels of staff and management within the HSDA and/or across NH to facilitate decision making, consult, negotiate, and share information. Liaises with consultants, vendors and other healthcare entities and other external agencies to negotiate contracts for the provision of goods and services.

The Senior Project Manager provides mentorship and expertise to other NH Project Managers, promoting utilization of project management best practices, methodologies, and standards, and providing guidance in the resolution of complex issues. Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
