Warehouse Associate

Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.

Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, vehicles rentals & leasing, and finance.

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Warehouse Associate at our Prince George, BC location.

As Warehouse Associate
, your primary responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

• Material handling, ensuring order accuracy and on-time delivery
• Compliance to health, safety, cleanliness and adhering to company policies and programs are critical.
• Take direction from and coordinate activities with warehouse supervisor
• Deliver product to customers located in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas
• Check orders for accuracy
• Unload product at customer locations
• Properly load and secure product in vehicle for delivery
• Deliver product in a timely manner
• On call duties
• Participate and contribute to the company Health and Safety Program
• Report activities and schedule to supervisor
• Attend training sessions as requested
• Follow customer site specific Health and Safety rules
• Wear required PPE while performing tasks
• Care & Maintenance of Company Property and Delivery Vehicles
• Perform daily pre-use equipment inspections
• Perform monthly inspections as directed

• Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
• We are seeking individuals with experience within a distribution environment
• On the job training is provided
• Individuals are required to possess excellent self motivation, reliability, customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment and/or independently.
• Class 5 drivers license (No G.D.L.) is required along with current driver’s abstract.
