Truck & Trailer Mechanic

Overview

Site Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading provider of sustainable biomass solutions in Northern BC, focused on transforming forestry residuals into high quality wood fiber to be used in energy co-generation. With a commitment to environmental responsibility, safety and operational excellence, they supply biomass materials to domestic and international energy markets. This role is based out of their shop in Fort St James.

CA $45.00/hr - CA $65.00/hr

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers
• Collaborate effectively and courteously with team members
• Complete welding and fabrication projects as assigned (training provided as needed)
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations

• Minimum 2 years of experience in truck and trailer repair and maintenance
• Red Seal Certification (or working toward it)
• Commercial Vehicle Inspector Certificate is an asset (training can be provided for the right candidate)
• Ability to supervise and manage staff
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Proficient in English (verbal and written)
• Physically capable of performing tasks in various conditions, including heavy lifting over 50 lbs

• $45-$65/hour + small increase after a successful probationary period
