Datacenter Technician

Description

One of TEKsystems largest Professional Service client is looking for a strong Data Centre Technician to support a client onsite. This is a 3-year contract opportunity with the potential to be extended. Should have extensive experience supporting, building, maintaining Power Edge XE servers. Must be comfortable triaging issues, and documenting.

• Power Edge XE Server
• Work in the direction of the DT Field Services Leader for the supported site.
• provide troubleshooting, repair parts, installation, server builds, data center operations, Hardware, Data center, Rack and stack, Infrastructure
• Triage issues with direction from Vendor
• Execute plan of action from Domain Engineer
• Document POA Results, logs and service reports (Parts numbers/PPID of old/new parts replaced)
• Reseating parts, swap or replace parts
• Server Testing and validation (running diagnostics, capturing and uploading logs)
• Upgrading Firmware as needed
• Parts locker management, manage inbound and outbound parts
• Spare parts management, separate from parts locker
• Return of defective part or unused part back to Vendor Parts Return

This is a Contract position based out of Prince George, BC.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $55.00/hr.
