Datacenter Technician

One of TEKsystems largest Professional Service client is looking for a strong Data Centre Technician to support a client onsite.

This is a 3-year contract opportunity with the potential to be extended.

Should have extensive experience supporting, building, maintaining Power Edge XE servers.

Must be comfortable triaging issues, and documenting.

• Power Edge XE Server

Work in the direction of the DT Field Services Leader for the supported site.

Provide troubleshooting, repair, parts ordering, preventative maintenance and installation of product located at the Customer Site.

• Triage issues with direction from Vendor
• Execute plan of action from Domain Engineer
• Document POA Results, logs and service reports (Parts numbers/PPID of old/new parts replaced)
• Reseating parts, swap or replace parts
• Server Testing and validation (running diagnostics, capturing and uploading logs)
• Upgrading Firmware as needed
• Parts locker management, manage inbound and outbound parts
• Spare parts management, separate from parts locker
• Return of defective part or unused part back to Vendor Parts Return

This is a Contract position based out of Prince George, BC.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Prince George,BC.
