- Contract: Term position ending 3/31/2028, with possibility of extension. Intended to be permanent role at “The Healing House” upon completion of term.

The Role
The Wilp D’Mootxw – Nec’a Yikh “The Healing House” Primary Care Centre is envisioned to work as part of a strategic integrated system within a culturally safe model that integrates family and community supports consistent with a no barriers to care model. As Mental Health Clinician, you will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team that integrates an Indigenous worldview into its practice, honouring and respecting the values, beliefs, and customs of individuals, families, and communities, while also adhering to current best practices in the mental health field.
You will provide trauma-informed care within a culturally safe environment that supports client healing and wellness, including consultation, intake, assessment, collaborative care planning, education, system navigation, and referrals – all delivered through a decolonizing lens.
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related health discipline with a focus on mental health, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Advanced training: Threat/risk assessment, trauma response, and brief intervention approaches (CBT, motivational interviewing, SBTA).
- Occupational Certification: Current practicing registration with applicable professional governing body in BC (RCC, CCC, or RSW) and valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with willingness to submit driver abstract.
- Experience: 5–7 years working within complex social systems; minimum 3 years recent and relevant clinical mental health and addictions experience supporting children, youth, and/or adults; minimum 3 years recent and relevant experience conducting assessments and providing trauma-informed interventions and post-vention services; proven ability to deliver culturally safe mental health services in partnership with First Nations communities using holistic and decolonizing techniques (somatic experiencing modalities, motivational interviewing);
care coordination experience in multi‑disciplinary team is an asset.
- Municipal Pension plan with employer contribution of 9.31% (after 6 months)
- 3 weeks' vacation (increases to 5 weeks with service) + 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing Day
