Forestry Supervisor
Geoterra Integrated Resource Systems Ltd. - This position will require both office and fieldwork; travel is expected.
- Geoterra pays for all travel and accommodations, including per-diem, while away from home.
- Wage: $30-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Ensure that all Safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Leading timber cruising and timber investigations;
- Leading block layout, road layout and assessments;
- Leading riparian and ecosystem assessments;
- Leading data collection and entry;
- Additional adhoc assistance requirements needed by the supervisor.
- Post-secondary education in a natural resource field.
- Registered or able to register with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (RPF, RFT).
- Positive attitude, highly organized, with a proven ability to provide supervision and mentor junior staff members.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the forest industry.
- Specific experience with forest development activities such as block layout (ground based and cable), timber cruising, ecological data collection and riparian classification.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of the BC tenure and appraisal system.
- Provide a Negative 12 Panel Drug and Alcohol pre employment test.
- Provide a Drivers Abstract with no major infractions.
