Overview
Mechanical Engineer role at Allnorth Americas. Based in Prince George, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of industrial engineering designs and documents related to process plant facilities located throughout North America. You will work under the direction of a senior engineer and collaborate with other engineers, designers and field service staff on process plant related design projects.
The candidate is expected to work with project teams and individual engineers to ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets.
- Prepare industrial engineering designs and documents for process plant facilities.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers and field service staff.
- Work under the direction of a senior engineer to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years relevant experience in planning, designing and installing plant improvements in an industrial setting. Experience in consulting engineering is preferred
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
- Previous experience with conceptual design, front-end and detailed engineering of process plants, ideally in the Pulp & Paper sector
- Familiarity with pressure piping codes, stress analysis and stress analysis software is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplined environment
- Technical competency and strong attention to detail
