Location: Vanderhoof

Grade 3/4 Teaching Vacancy (Posting No. 86)

School: Sinkut View Elementary School – Vanderhoof, BC

Start Date: January 5, 2026 – June 30, 2026, or until the incumbent returns, whichever occurs first

Salary: $60,648 – $114,735 plus current provincial recruitment and retention allowance

Assignment: 0.20 FTE Limited Duration Position

Specific Assignment to: be determined by the principal

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education (Elementary)
  • Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare
  • Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at elementary grade levels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners
  • Experience and knowledge in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs
  • Understanding and use of a trauma‑informed approach in professional practice
  • Experience and knowledge using competency‑based assessment strategies
  • Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student
  • Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes
