School: Sinkut View Elementary School – Vanderhoof, BC
Start Date: January 5, 2026 – June 30, 2026, or until the incumbent returns, whichever occurs first
Salary: $60,648 – $114,735 plus current provincial recruitment and retention allowance
Assignment: 0.20 FTE Limited Duration Position

Qualifications- Bachelor of Education (Elementary)
- Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare
- Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at elementary grade levels
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences
- Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners
- Experience and knowledge in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs
- Understanding and use of a trauma‑informed approach in professional practice
- Experience and knowledge using competency‑based assessment strategies
- Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student
- Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes
- BC Education Plan and goals of the education system
- Supporting every child in learning at high levels
- Work closely with parents/guardian, caregivers, and the broader community
- Board of Education Strategic Plan
- Supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Ongoing professional learning to strengthen student learning
- Making evidence‑based, collaborative decisions about student learning in a professional learning community environment
- Supporting Individual Education Plans (IEP) in a collaborative team environment
- The TRC Calls to Action
- Integrating Indigenous culture and Ways of Knowing into curriculum and learning activities
